Restaurants

A destination for fun and adventure, the Hickory Metro has an equally adventurous food and drink scene. From trendy restaurants with rooftop dining to cutting-edge breweries crafting mountain-inspired lagers and ales, every meal is an opportunity to create memorable moments with friends and family.

Diverse Menus

A great meal with loved ones is often the highlight of any vacation, and Hickory offers a wide range of culinary experiences to satisfy every craving.

For a taste of fine dining, visit restaurants like Duke’s Restaurant and Wine Bar in the city of Hickory. Start with the crab artichoke skillet, followed by mouth-watering entrees like southern fried duck or tomahawk ribeye steak, all served in a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

Our area also boasts a variety of ethnic cuisine. Boca specializes in Mediterranean dishes and tapas, including seafood and marinated olives. If you’re looking for a more casual setting and plenty of comfort food, try Café Gouda or Claremont Café.

If you’ve got a large group or are celebrating a special occasion, many of our restaurants, including Boca, feature large tables and private dining areas.

Craft Beverages

Our breweries, distilleries, wineries, and casual pubs and bars make for the perfect hangout spot on vacation.

Spend an afternoon drinking wine at a vineyard with friends or the entire day hitting up a variety of area breweries, including City Walk Brewing and Mica Town Brewing Company, two highlights along the Catawba Valley Ale Trail.

On-the-Go Cuisine

Our region is home to food trucks that are just as diverse as our brick-and-mortar spots. Start your day with a freshly brewed coffee from Taproot Coffee, or indulge in Southern comfort with a twist at JB’s Rolling Bistro—don’t miss their Lobster Mac & Cheese! Craving something sweet? One Sweet Farm has delicious desserts that’ll satisfy your sugar cravings. From savory bites to sweet indulgences, these food trucks bring the flavor wherever they go.

Check out individual food trucks for menus and locations.

Sweet Treats

No trip is complete without a sweet treat! Hickory has dessert shops galore. The Catawba Creamery serves 42 hand-dipped flavors, along with milkshakes, banana splits, and floats. For a melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness, stop by Donut Life, a family-owned shop serving traditional and unique donuts.

From trendy breweries to cozy restaurants and delicious desserts, Hickory Metro is a haven for food lovers and families looking for quality food and quality time. So, pull up a chair at a bar, restaurant, or winery, and enjoy a taste of our region.
