Ivey Arboretum at Sally Fox Park

Details

Ivey Arboretum, once known as Carolina Park, is one of Hickory’s earliest parks. In the 1870s, the property was home to a mineral spring believed to have healing waters, drawing both locals and tourists. Over time, the land changed hands multiple times before becoming the Ivey Arboretum at Sally Fox Park. Today, it features public art benches, sculptures by local artists, and approximately 250 species of trees and plants.
