Beverage Tours:
Catawba Valley Ale Trail - is a collection of 13 breweries in the Hickory Metro, each offering unique brews inspired by the surrounding landscape, from Old Fort along the river to Lake Hickory. With creative beers and inviting atmospheres, these local gems will keep you coming back for more. Grab your Ale Trail Passport and discover new flavors while enjoying the charm of the Catawba River Valley!
Kilty Pleasure Tours - offers fun and flexible transportation for a variety of tour packages. With each tour, you get to choose your destinations, making every experience unique! For the Bar Tours, pick a bar to visit in each of the three locations the van takes you (Morganton, Hickory, and Newton). For the Winery Tour, the wineries you visit change depending on the day you book (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
Art Tours:
Downtown Hickory Selfie Walk - Take a stroll through Downtown Hickory and snap a selfie with our favorite local artworks! Don’t forget to tag Downtown Hickory on social media and use #hickoryandme. We can't wait to see your downtown selfies and share them!
Historical Guided Tours:
Harper House/Lyerly House - Open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays with tours at 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm.
For a Harper House Tour, please check in at the Hickory History Center (Arts & Crafts style home) first. Tour Cost for a guided tour is $12 for Adults, $8 for Ages 6-17, and children 5 & under are Free.
Propst House - experience the restored house as it appeared in the late 19th century. Open Thursdays & Sundays from 1:30 pm-4:30 pm or by appointment. Admission is free.
Hickory Aviation Museum - experience airplanes and helicopters up close at this family-friendly, free museum. Stop by for a tour led by local volunteers and explore the fascinating aircraft on display. The Aviation Museum is open Tuesday-Friday from 10 am-3 pm, Saturday from 10 am-4 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm-4 pm.
