The Downtown Park is located at 112 2nd Av NE, which is in the geographic and cultural heart of the City. Downtown Park contains 1.97 acres and is home to the large gazebo that has become the unofficial symbol of Conover (a gazebo is prominently positioned on the center of the City Seal). The park is just across the street from both City Hall and the Police Station. Downtown Park is easily accessible by both pedestrian and vehicular traffic from the central business district of Conover. The park is also adjacent and easily accessible to the largest contiguous residential neighborhood within the City. Along with the gazebo, the park also contains walking trails, benches, picnic tables and play equipment for the kids.
