The Downtown Hickory Farmers Market is located in Union Square under the sails. It is open on Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm and Wednesdays from 10 am to 2 pm during regular season hours. The Winter Market will be held from November through mid-April and is open on Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm. The market accepts government benefits like WIC and SNAP, and is offering double bucks for up to $25 for fruits and vegetables. The farmers market is closed each year on the Saturday of Oktoberfest.
