Music on Main, Downtown Newton

Summer nights have begun. Newton’s Music on Main concert series is back!!! Make Thursday your new date night, gal pal night or after-work quitting time guys night. No matter what you call it… mark your calendar for these fun live music concerts in Downtown Newton!!!

Thursday, June 15, 2023, Chairman of the Board
Thursday, July 13, 2023, Island Time Band (Jimmy Buffett tribute)
Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, Gary Lowder & Smokin Hot Band (Beach Music)
Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, Trial by Fire Band (Journey Tribute Band)

Food:
Food trucks and food vendors will be ready to serve at 5:00 pm, band starts at 6:00 pm and continue until 8:30 pm.

Adult Beverages:
No outside alcohol or coolers will be permitted during the event, but beer will be available for purchase on N Main starting at 5 p.m. Please note that wristbands will be utilized for age identification and required for alcohol purchases available at the beer tent starting at 5 p.m.

The Newton Social District will be observed for the purchases of beer and wine at several Downtown Newton beverage providers.

What to bring:
Bring a lawn chair or blanket
Bug spray
Sunglasses, the sun gets bright as it sets behind the Amphitheatre

Weather
Please note: Due to the popularity of Music on Main in Downtown Newton, organizers make every effort to proceed with each concert as scheduled. However, when severe weather threatens, the safety of visitors, sponsors, and performers is of utmost concern. As a result, decisions on whether to continue or cancel a concert are based entirely on the potential risks posed by inclement weather. Should there be a weather threat, the decision to proceed will be made no later than 4:00 pm. Updates will be posted on Facebook, the City website, and Downtown Newton Development Association website on the Downtown Happenings Page.
