Welcome to Hickory, Cycle NC!
Hickory, North Carolina is excited to be the first overnight stop on the Cycle North Carolina Mountains to Coast 2019 ride! Riders from all over the United States and beyond will be arriving into Hickory on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
A Welcome Celebration for the 1000+ riders, Cycle NC staff, volunteers and more will be hosted at Highland Recreation Center by Visit Hickory Metro, the City of Hickory and many other partners from the Hickory Metro area.
The welcome celebration will include:
Food Truck vendors: Urban Flavor, Hickory Sandwich Shop, Dilishi Frozen Yogurt and More to come!
Games: bocce ball, corn hole, ladder golf, table tennis, life size Jenga and more
Other Vendors: TBD
Live music by: Part Time Murphys
Hickory welcomes riders, volunteers and Cycle NC staff to sit back and find a relaxing spots to eat, drink and unwind before the next leg of the ride. More information on food truck vendors and other vendors to come!
The Mountains to Coast ride will begin in Blowing Rock on Saturday, September 28th and peddle on to Spencer, NC early Monday morning, September 30th.
The full route is as follows:
Day 1: Blowing Rock to Hickory - 63 miles (elev. +2941 ft)
Day 2: Hickory to Spencer - 67 miles (elev. +2457 ft)
Day 3: Spencer to Siler City - 69 miles (elev. +3184 ft)
Day 4: Siler City to Clayton - 73 miles (elev. +2818 ft)
Day 5: Clayton to Greenville - 76 or 100 miles (elev. +1362 ft)
Day 6: Greenville to New Bern - 67 miles (elev. +645 ft)
Day 7: New Bern to Atlantic Beach - 68 miles (elev. +800 ft)
