Conover City Park Splash Pad
Take a break from the heat at the Conover City Park splash pad! The splash pad is open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. While at the park, enjoy the pickleball courts, walking trails, and playground! And yes, there are free public restrooms.

Dip into fun at Newton’s largest municipal swimming pool! The pool is open six days a week from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., closed on Sundays. Admission to the pool is $1 for children ages 5 and younger, $3 for children aged 6-17, $4 for adults aged 18-61, and $2 for adults 62 and older.

Let the adventure flow at Riverbend Park’s river access. Paddle away in your kayak or canoe as you enjoy the views of the Catawba River. Riverbend Park is open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Jump into fun at the Charles D. Dixon Memorial Splash Pad located within Kiwanis Park! Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the splash pad and playground are a guaranteed day of fun.

Cool off at Kool Park Pool! This pool features a water slide, diving tower, picnic tables, and more! The pool is open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission to the pool is $10 for children ages 12 and under, $18 for adults aged 13-64, and $10 for adults aged 65 and older. Children 2 and under must be wearing swimming diapers for free admission. If you don’t have a whole day to devote to swimming, Kool Park offers discounted afternoon prices during the week.
Newton Splash Pad
Splash around on the Newton splash pad! This splash pad features water buckets, water cannons, picnic tables, concessions, and more! The splash pad is open Monday through Saturday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Admission to the splash pad is $1 per person, and season passes are available for $25 per person.

After a day of shopping, make a splash in the heart of downtown Hickory at the Lowes Foods City Park! Featuring fun play equipment crafted by locals, picnic tables, restrooms, and an interactive water feature, the whole family can have a blast at Lowes Foods City Park. The park is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. year-round.
